All Green Electronics Recycling: A Certified Company to Responsibly Dispose E-Waste

Do you know that it is illegal to throw old electronics in the landfill? This basically means you can’t throw electronics in the garbage, which ends up in the landfill. If you’re in the Tennessee area, take old electronics to a Santa Paula Electronics Recycling because electronics have toxins in them that are health hazards. Here are some toxins that will be emitted when electronics end up in the landfill:

  1. BROMINATED FLAME RETARDANTS or BFRs – man-made chemicals added to electronics to make them less flammable. These may affect hormonal functions that could become critical for normal development.
  2. CADMIUM – a metal similar to mercury and zinc. When accumulated in the body, it could poison the kidneys.
  3. LEAD – a post-transition metal. The negative health effects of this chemical is known to the public. Exposure to too much lead can cause brain damage. In fact, lead is banned in consumer products.
  4. MERCURY – This is commonly referred to as quicksilver. This can be dangerous in low doses—can cause brain damage and kidney problems.
