This city located in the state of California was founded in 1872 by the Central Pacific Railroad Company. The city that is home to 520, 000 Americans is now a prime spot for agriculture in the US with its vast grapes, almonds, tomatoes and oranges plantations.

Its population growth comes in parallel with the increased volume of electronics and other wastes that city residents generate.  The city operated its landfill in 1937 to accommodate waste generated by city residents. But landfill operations ceased with its closure in 1987 because of the government’s decision to convert the area into a National Historical Landmark.

But even if the city’s landfill were operational, this cannot accommodate electronics and other gadgets that residents dispose. US laws prohibit the disposal of e-wastes in landfills. We are left in the care of professional recyclers to collect our electronic wastes.  An option is to hand this over to groups organizing collection events as a service to the community where they belong. We’re spearheading a collection event where you can bring your electronic wastes.

Do you have old electronics cluttering up your attic or garage? Irvine Unified School District and All Green Electronics Recycling have teamed up to host an event to help you get rid of them responsibly–absolutely free of charge! Members of the community and businesses are encouraged to clean out their garage or attic and donate their old electronics to a good cause. Bring all of your old electronics to the event, including, but not limited to: computers, monitors, televisions, printers, mobile phones, laptops, DVD players, VCRs, microwaves, calculators, iPods, cables and wires, telephones, fax machines, scanners, computer parts, and more. All Green Electronics Recycling promises to recycle everything it accepts in North America and to never send electronics to a landfill or overseas for processing. Certified Data Destruction is available for a small fee at all of our events.
