San Diego E-waste

San Diego is now home to about 1.4 million people and is considered as the 8th largest city in the country and the second largest in California. Its largest sectors include defense/military, research and manufacturing, international trade and tourism.  Forbes also named San Diego City as the best city in the US to launch a small business or startup company.

It cannot be denied that the city now produces tons and tons of electronic wastes each year as a result of its rapid economic growth coupled with urbanization and the high demand for consumer goods. But progress has a price to pay. With its growing population and progressive economy, the city also gets to produce tons and tons of E-wastes each year.

Proper E-wastes disposal is a concern that is now shared by its businesses and city residents. Del Norte High School is organizing an Electronics Recycling Fundraiser to help the community address this kind of a concern. Our mission is to help city residents develop the habit of proper E-waste disposal.
