Are you trying to find a last-minute, eco-friendly Valentine’s Day gift to wow that special someone? If so, here are some ideas to get you started:

  1. Send an e-card instead of a paper card. Although you may not want to send an e-card to your significant other, this would work well for friends and family members.
  2. Use recycled paper. If you’d rather send a paper card than an e-card, buy one made out of recycled paper. Or better yet, get creative and make your own.
  3. Buy eco-friendly chocolate. If you’d like something eco-friendly but still easy-to-find and affordable—Dove tops list of eco-friendly chocolate companies.
  4. Buy locally-grown, organic flowers instead of roses. Unless you’re in the South, roses have to be shipped this time of year—typically via refrigerated airplanes from Central or South America. Instead, pick your own bouquet or buy locally-grown flowers. It’s eco-friendly and original!
