Are less people going green?

According to a survey by Harris Interactive, less Americans were green in 2010 than in 2009.

Between November 8th and November 15th, 2,352 U.S. adults over the age of 18 took an online survey on a variety of green topics. The results were compared to a similar poll done in 2009.

Some of the facts were startling. Only 36 percent claimed to be concerned about the state of the planet left behind for future generations, down from 43 percent in 2009. Less people also made an effort to conserve resources such as water and fuel. According to the poll, 60 percent of people made an effort to conserve water in 2009, while only 57 percent did in 2010.

Alarmingly, 32 percent donated or recycled electronics in 2010, but 41 percent did so in 2009.

Let’s make an effort to reverse these trends in 2011 and go All Green!
