The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has formerly recognized the e-Stewards Recycler Certification and associated e-Stewards Standard for the Responsible Recycling and Reuse of Electronic Equipment, according to a press release issued by the Basel Action Network (BAN), Seattle.

BAN developed the standard and certification program in conjunction with members from the recycling industry and expert in occupational health and safety, data security, certification and other fields.
